Canvas Core

Canvas Core provides the DMI infra-structure to the whole of the system. The servers in the system provide 99.999% accessibility. If a problem arises in the server, in any way, Canvas Core becomes aware of this and secures distribution of the jobs on the problem server, to the other servers. In addition, Canvas Core removes the necessity to define resources each time during service development.

Database

The database located in Access Servers is responsible for keeping information related to access servers, user message boxes, local access and other records, local CDR records. The information in the database is backed up by the backup unit that comes with the system, at regular intervals that are determined by the operator.

By synchronizing the Access Servers regularly with the Central Units, the necessary information is collected in the Central Units.

System Management

System Management is realized through WEB interfaces and Java Applications accessible over TCP/IP protocol. Using Canvas Managed Objects (MO) structure, System Management can manage system warnings and error messages.

Service Delivery Platform

The voice message and Unified Messaging services located in the Access Server and operate on Canvas Service Delivery Platform (SDP). Canvas SDP, using DMI structure, provides 99.999% availability when performance increase is needed. It is possible to develop new services, to perform flow changes in services on the Canvas SDP, with the drag and drop method, using the Service Creation Environment (SCE) with its graphical interface.

Voice Mail and Unified Messaging Services

Voice Mail and Unified Messaging Services are services that have been developed through SCE working on Canvas SDP. These services provide telecommunication services such as IVR, SMS, MMS to customers, with which they can access their message boxes and perform various operations. When need for new services arise or changes become necessary in existing service flows and features, the required changes may be made or new services may be created, using SCE, without need for developing any software.

Canvas Media Server

Canvas Media Server provides signalling and sound ports, connecting to mobile or fixed telephone network. Because signalling information can be managed independently from sound channels, any Canvas Media Server has the ability to manage sound sources in other Canvas Media Servers in the system also and to connect signalling and sound ports at different locations in a distributed structure. The Media Server can perform call ending, call transfer, calling, call merging and conference call operations both in the same network and in different networks. The Media Server can continue transmitting signalling information on another signalling channel, in the case of any signalling problem, using the facilities of the Canvas DMI structure, without losing the ongoing calls.

Access Ports

Media Server can use SS8 Dialogic Sound cards and HP OCMP platform hardware in its access ports.

Web Server

The Web Server located on the Access Server, provides for delivery of the messages in the User Message boxes to the user when accessed over the WEB Portal and IM located on the Central Unit. The WEB server can be accessed by WEB browsers, Internet Explorer 5.0 and above. In addition, the WEB server on the Access Server, enables performance of configuration locally with the WEB interface and Java interfaces, for system management purposes. The configurations which are performed allow the access to local configurations from the centre.

SMTP Server

The SMTP server on the system provides for welcoming inbound e-mail messages, transmission of messages using VPIM protocol and establishing communication, through the VPIM protocol, with other voice message systems and with Unified Messaging systems. These systems have been utilized for the purpose of transmission, re-direction of e-mail messages and for carrying other messages.

LDAP Server

LDAP server is used for the purpose of reaching user settings and message information by keeping user profiles. LDAP records in the Access servers and central servers are regularly synchronized for each server. Thus, user can reach their profiles, consequently their message boxes without staying attached to any access server.
